When you hear about visiting Nevada, you most likely think of Las Vegas first. However, there is a lot more to Nevada than just Las Vegas, a lot more! Of course, if you visit the Silver State, Las Vegas has got to be on the list, but here are some other attractions you may not know about.

If you’re looking to take the kids swimming, there are some beautiful custom pools Las Vegas style. They have swim-up bars, splash pads and waterfalls. There is even a web page dedicated to the best custom pools in Las Vegas.
For the adventurous type, there are a plethora of choices. At the top of the list has to be zip lining 8000 feet above Bootleg Canyon in the Mojave Desert. Not for the faint of heart but it surely would be an adventure to remember. Bicycling is also popular with thousands of miles of trails that wind through some of the beautiful parks in the state. Rock climbing and camping are also fun to do.
Snow in Nevada?
You might think of Nevada weather as hot all the time, but it is also a winter wonderland up in the mountains. Snow sports like skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing are very popular. For the adventuresome, you can forego the ski lift and go helicopter skiing at Ruby Mountain. With the mobility of a helicopter, you don’t have to worry if the snow conditions aren’t the best where you’re at because they fly you to the best snow conditions there are!

How can we even begin to list all the activities there are to do in Vegas? Stay at one of the world-renown luxury resorts and get pampered at their spas. Mirage is widely known as one of the best hotels in the world, it even has a volcano inside! Or, you can try your luck at the casinos. You might go home with the jackpot of your dreams. The Grand Canyon
It needs no introduction, but there are some activities in the Grand Canyon you may not have heard about. You can explore the canyon in many different ways. There is your standard bus tours, hiking, airplane tours and mule rides. But some of the lesser known ways are white river rafting, Hummer rides and helicopter rides. You can even get married there! Only Found In Nevada
There are many attractions that you can only find in the Silver State. For the history buffs, Virginia City is home to one of Nevada’s National Historic Landmarks. The old-fashioned city streets look just like they did so many years ago, and it’s listed on the Top Ten Historic Main Streets. There are many one-of-a-kind cowboy ranches where you can hike, go horseback riding and stay in cabins. Some other attractions include The Burning Man and Lovelock’s Lock Your Love hot-air balloon race.
Performing Arts and Culture
There are numerous art galleries and museums throughout the state. The Nevada Museum of Art and The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center are two of the most visited attractions. The Discovery Children’s Museum offers many interactive experiences that make learning fun!
Visiting Nevada should definitely be on your bucket list. There is so much to see and learn there. Of course, Las Vegas is the crown jewel, but you can see there is more to the state than that!
