Taking A Trip To NYC

20 Aug Taking A Trip To NYC

There is little denying that New York is one of the most famous cities in the world. If this is a city that you are planning to visit sometime soon, it is important to have a plan before your travels. This will help you to ensure that you do not get lost in everything that is going on and that you do not find yourself missing out on all of the things that you wanted to do as a family. With that being said, we are going to take a look at some of the best things to do as a family in NYC so that you have some ideas and suggestions for your trip.

See a show on Broadway – There is only one place to begin, and this is with catching a show on Broadway. There are so many great shows for families to see. Book of Mormon tickets are a great example. This is a funny musical, which follows the misadventures of a pair of missionaries, who are completely mis-matched. They are sent halfway across the world to spread the good word. You can expect lots of laughs and some great music too. Of course, this is just one example of many when it comes to the different shows that you can catch on Broadway.

Go ice skating – Another fun activity to enjoy in New York is ice skating. There are a number of different places whereby you can enjoy ice skating. Three of the best include Rockefeller Plaza, which is perhaps the most famous spot for this activity, as well as the Wollman Rink in Central Park and Bryant Park. While Rockefeller Plaza is the most famous, it is the smallest of the three and waiting times can be fairly lengthy, although reservations are possible.

Explore Central Park – Last but not least, a trip to New York would not be complete without enjoying everything that Central Park has to offer. This is an amazing oasis that is situated in the middle of a concrete jungle. It is a great place to go with the family so that you can escape the high paced life in the city, enjoying some calm moments and peace. There are three different ways you can explore Central Park, depending on your taste and the ages of your children. This includes on foot, by horse and carriage, and by bicycle.

All things considered, there is no denying that New York is a place that has a lot going on. If you are looking for something fun and exciting to do in this part of the world, we hope that you have found the suggestions above helpful. It is also worth pointing out that you can save some money on a lot of activities in the Big Apple by booking your tickets online in advance. This is definitely the case if you are interested in seeing a show on Broadway.
