13 Mar Rumiloma Hotel – The Cosiest Hotel in Quito, Ecuador
Have you ever stayed in a hotel where you feel like you are in a different time?
Rumiloma is one of the cosiest hotels I have ever stayed in. It is up to the mountain close to the Cable car Teleferico and Pichincha volcano. If you are looking for a romantic getaway where you can also enjoy spa treatments, private dinner and bird watching.
Restaurant and reception

The yellow house is the reception and the restaurant. We didn’t stay there that much because we got all of the food to our hotel room and the balcony.
Inside the restaurant in the main building. You can also come here to just eat dinner and lunch. Note that you should book that ahead as well. Especially dinner.
The garden
That is the hotel rooms which is not a part of the main building.
There are many alpacas and llamas that comes and goes around the garden. They are not very shy either.
The room
The copper bathtub is so charming. I tried it out and it was hot water from the beginning. You even got to use bobbles that they give you.
The room is enormous and has two levels.
They fire up the chimney around 6 pm which will keep the hotel room nice and warm all night.
Balcony
It is an awesome retreat getting a breakfast like this on the balcony with this view.

Posted at 18:22h, 13 MarchWow, I haven’t heard about this Hotel before. It looks like a scenery I’ve seen in a certain movie before. I love how serene the place is and so stunning. i actually got speechless while reading your post. This might be the best hotel I’ve read and have seen so far. I wish to traipse my feet here and experience what this Hotel has to offer. It’s like living in my own dream house.

Posted at 07:22h, 14 MarchRumiloma is so cool. the setting is fantastic, the food looks great, and the sheep create an authentic atmosphere. I haven’t known that Quito has so many wonderful places, but Ecuador is a country where I haven’t been yet for sure. I’ll have to catch up sooner or later.

Posted at 11:00h, 14 MarchRumiloma has really blown me away in these photos. It is so grand and elegant. The bed is just calling to be snuggled up in and I don’t remember the last time I had a good bath (and it was never in a tub like that). As if it couldn’t get any better you have alpacas and llamas – what are the difference between the two?

Posted at 10:32h, 23 Aprilit is a really cosy place to stay even though it is sort of in the city. Alpacas have more hair, llamas have a longer face and are bigger 🙂

Posted at 14:46h, 14 MarchI was sold once I saw the llamas and alpacas. That’s what my dream hotel involves! Okay, the room books beautiful and the food looks great and the views are stunning, but I’m more interested in animals to pet. I’m jealous!

Posted at 08:38h, 15 MarchWow! I’ve been to Quito and I’m so shocked that I totally missed this. This hotel looks absolutely lovely, I love the shot where you’re looking up at the hotel and the smoke is rising. The copper tub also sounds so luxurious!
