It is time to plan the family vacation. There is a variety of places to choose from. You can stay on land or book a cruise. No matter where you look, you will find tons of fun family vacation destinations

For those with young children, check out Legoland. At this tourist location you can purchase a single day pass or a multiple day pass. Located in Winter Haven Florida it has a theme built around legos. To get out of the Florida heat there is a water park. The water park has slides and wave pools. For the adults there are ice cold cocktails while watching the children having fun. The other part of the park has rooms of legos with various themes from knights to pirates. Your children will never want to leave.

Another great family vacation destination in Florida is the Space Coast.  If you plan the vacation at the right time, you can watch a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. Kennedy Space Center has everything from an early exploration of space to exclusive tours behind the gates. If you want to hit the beach, try out  is Cocoa Beach. For the teens in the family there is Ron Jon’s surf shop where they can get a free sticker. If your children are animal lovers, try Satellite beach. At Satellite Beach you can watch the sea turtles during nesting season. A professional guide will lead you as you see that mama turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.

On the opposite coast in California you have Anaheim or Long Beach. Anaheim is home to the ultimate kid-friendly destination, Disneyland. At Disneyland there are things to do for all ages. Along with the rides there are all the well-known characters walking around such as Minnie and Mickey Mouse. If you want to go some place smaller, there is Adventure City. With its rides and shows it is well suited for the smaller children. In Long Beach there is the Aquarium of the Pacific which has over eleven thousand creatures.  Children can learn about these creatures and even get to pet and feed some of them. You can rent a house in Long Beach with every comfort from home and still be close to all the tourist sites.

If you do not want to go to the coast, then there are places such as Washington DC. You can take a tour led by a professional guide who will tell you about the history of this great town. There are famous landmarks to tour and malls in which to go shopping. You can see the White House and the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorial. The Smithsonian houses some of the oldest and greatest collections in history.  No place else can you see a sixty-five million year old dinosaur and Discovery space shuttle. Part of the Smithsonian is so large that there are real planes hanging from the ceiling. This is sure to entrance your airplane buffs.

If you want to get away from it all, then there are family oriented cruises.  All you have to do is unpack once you are on-board then your cabin stewards take care of everything.   These cruises have something for everyone from rock climbing walls to sports bars and spa services. You can save money on airfare by finding a cruise within driving distance.

For the kids there are certified youth counselors  there to help you kids have fun. There are other families with children there so the kids have other kids their own age with which to play. You have options on whether to have dinner with your children or to have a quiet romantic evening with your mate. The choice is yours. The best thing of all is you do not have to cook nor do the clean up.
