31 Dec Essentials Travel Items For 2017
2017 is finally here!
Maybe you put travel more on your new year resolution list? If you did, great!
Here are some essential travel items for 2017. The best of the best!
These items will make your travels a lot easier, safer, comfortable, fun and more enjoyable!

Skyroam Mobile Hotspot: Global WiFi is a MUST for travellers. The Skyroam is a personal WiFi hotspot to get fast, secure mobile data around the world at top destinations in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. You can connect up to 5 devices and you pay as you go. You don’t have to use a SIM, you simply just press start and you are free to surf the internet. You can buy packages as little as $8 for 24-hour global day passes with unlimited data.

GoPro HERO5 Black is the newest of all of the Go Pro’s ! It launched in October 2016 and takes photos that are almost as good as the ones I take on my DSLR camera! This handy little cutie has been my best friend since I got the Go Pro 2 in 2012, I used it to take photos on The Great Barrier Reef. Luckily, the quality has exploded since then! The quality on this Go Pro is so good, that I almost want to go back to the reef and shoot it all over again. You can film and take photos as deep as 30 meters underwater and this one you can go down 10 meters without housing! The Go Pro Hero 5 Black gives Stunning 4K video and 12MP photos in Single, Burst and Time Lapse modes. You can also preview and trim the videos. You can get extras like headband, surf extras, chest band and you can place it on your bike. Older versions of this beauty have even fallen down from planes and survived!

Rusoji Premium Packing Cube System Is so important for an organized trip! Have you ever gone backpacking and something leaked in your backpack and everything got wet? I have, and it sucks. This was before I heard about the cube system.

UE ROLL Wireless Mobile Bluetooth Speaker (Waterproof and Shockproof) – Volcano
I didn’t know this little thing even existed! Waterproof and shockproof speaker! It is a dream! Great sound quality as well. Nothing is better than chill at the beach and listen to music without worrying about getting some water splashed on it. It is so handy that you can tie it to your backpack as well as the tent.

This beautiful Travel Journal is essential on your travels. You should write about it! Imagine finding this in the attic 40 years after and reading about your adventures in details! You better keep a track on those notes and funny stories!

Bragi – The Dash Truly Wireless Smart Earphones
Bragi – The Dash Truly Wireless Smart Earphones It sucks to use wired earphones while travelling , it is so messy. The Dash wireless earphones make it so much easier and you will save time! It is connected with Bluetooth and can store up to 1000 songs. You can also use biometric smart tracking while running and other activities! You can recharge on the go and there are different sizes to fit your ears perfectly.

8000mAh Powerbank Portable Charger- Pink is providing super fast charging for the newest iPhones and Samsung Galaxy Smartphones! This is a must for the traveller! I can’t be the only one that has had nightmares while travelling because the phone died. This powerbank has got your back and can save your ass while you are trying to find the hotel or bus stop in Paris or wherever you might go in the future. It also automatically turns off when it reaches 100%.

Pacsafe Venturesafe 25L GII, Navy is a must for the traveler that wants to keep your stuff safe inside your bag without going around and worry about it at all times. Pacsafe uses the newest method on locks, anti-slash and RFIDsafe blocking pockets for sensitive data such as micro chips. Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travel: Our List of the 500 Best Places to See. If you want to give your friend some ideas of where to travel next year this is the ultimate guide! The lists of the 500 best places to see is ranked by Lonely Planet’s most respected travel experts.

Convenience Kits Women’s Garnier Fructis Deluxe 9-Piece Travel Kit
This kit is so handy. I hate to put my shampoo into small bottles or boxes, it just ends up spilling it all out. This kit got you covered. Shampoo, Conditioner, toothbrush, comb, deodorant, Eucerin lotion, and toothpaste. It is all carry on friendly.

Travelrest – Ultimate Travel Pillow / Neck Pillow You don’t always get to choose the window seat and therefore it can be hard to have something to lean into. This has prevented me for falling asleep on planes. It might look like a seatbelt, but who cares? As long as you can sleep and relax on the plane without disturbing others is what matters.

Posted at 07:18h, 09 AprilThat Lonely Planet book is terrific. I like to bring a Kindle when I travel so I can have multiple books at my fingertips without having to carry the physical copies, and if I’m inspired to pick up a new book while visiting somewhere, it only takes a few seconds.
thevikingabroad

Posted at 23:11h, 10 AprilHow do you feel about the sound quality for the GoPro? I’m looking at getting one but I’ve heard it picks up and amplifies random sounds like a car running or your hand moving on the camera.
Thanks!

Posted at 09:46h, 11 AprilHi. I don’t have all the go pros to compare with, but the audio is significantly better with the go pro 5 than the go pro 4. You can see plenty of tests on youtube and compare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufciMAcDhiU . There are ways to fix the back sounds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4FxEpcBUVU , hope that helps 🙂

Posted at 04:36h, 26 JuneMobile Hotspots and a GoPro are the IN things right now while travelling and while I have the latter, I still have to try mobile wifi on my next trip. I love to write while travelling and the notebook looks really nice for that. LifeStraw, although I have not used is perfect for hiking and backpacking and I can see it becoming a norm real soon. Thanks for a great list.
thevikingabroad
